The St Albans pub, formally known as the historic Settlers Arms Inn (circa 1836), was visited by SCCA on 22 November 2014.
Leaving Rouse Hill we travelled along The Great North Road which is a historic road that was built to link early Sydney, in the Colony of New South Wales, now Australia, with the fertile Hunter Valley to the north. Built by convicts between 1825 and 1836, it traverses over 160miles of the rugged terrain that hindered early agricultural expansion.
The road is of such cultural significance it was included on the Australian National Heritage List on 1 August 2007 as a nationally significant example of major public infrastructure developed using convict labour.
The 1.7-acre freehold property is a great gathering spot for Car and Bike clubs to enjoy great scenery as well as epic roads to travel along.
The convict-built sandstone landmark at 1 Wharf Street in the Macdonald Valley saw Sprite club members enjoy a lovely lunch.
The Inn (built in Georgian style) originally served as a stop for Cobb & Co stagecoaches and riverboats.

This was held at the property of long standing member, Maurice King.
Maurice opened up his home in Putty NSW for a good old fashioned Picnic day. The included all the fun things like Sack races, Egg and Spoon races and the 3 Legged race.
This was more about people than the cars they came in.
